Augmented reality app design and development.
Io Burgard, 2024
Out of Pluto worked with Io Burgard and a group of IMAC students to create an augmented reality (AR) application around the exhibition La Proie pour l'Ombre presented from February 7 to March 30 at the Centre d'Art Contemporain d'Alfortville.
In the words of the artist herself, Io Burgard, La Proie pour l'Ombre is concerned with the materiality of ideas: "Coming down from a vaporous emanation, ideas are embodied in a soft paste, and resonate in several dimensions. The use of augmented reality makes perceptible another state of information before it becomes visible in the meaty world".
The AR application therefore makes animated objects appear on the screen of the mobile device, adding to the existing drawings and sculptures in the exhibition space.
Out of Pluto would like to thank the three IMAC students who worked on the application, Marion Barthe, Lucie Guerin and Maureen Grandidier, as well as Gaëtan Robillard, teacher and co-responsible for tutored projects at IMAC.
