Carpenters Workshop Gallery, 2021-2024
Carpenters Workshop Gallery has chosen to trust Out of Pluto for two missions: the restoration of vintage lamps and the R&D of the electrical parts of new lamps designed by their artists.
Restoring vintage furniture is a special job, especially when it comes to lamps. While replacing the parts necessary for operation and compliance with contemporary safety standards, it is also necessary to ensure that the various surfaces are restored without altering the original appearance. Carpenters Workshop Gallery insisted on this point: "We like vintage to look vintage!". A delicate and careful task, accompanied by complete restoration reports, for the traceability of the parts. We restored amazing pieces from Franco Albini, Max Ingrand, Serge Mouille, B.B.P.R. studio, and others:
As for recent pieces, it is a work that requires meticulousness and reflection in order to meet the standard of safety and quality, while respecting the original aspect of the work. Out of Pluto accompanies the artists during various steps of the designing process: study of light sources and technological possibilities, technical design and material selection, 3D modeling and tech drawing, prototyping and final production, user documentation, maintenance and support.
